In a momentous stride toward enhancing its operational efficiency and bolstering digital transformation, the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has taken a bold step to digitize its paper records in collaboration with Mitiget. The pilot starts with one of its critical units – Lagos COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES). As LSETF remains steadfast in its mission to stimulate job creation, empower the youth, and boost entrepreneurship within Lagos State, this strategic digitization project seeks to streamline processes, foster innovation, and facilitate greater accessibility to its vital records for efficient service delivery.
In line with the expectations of the Lagos State Government, this drive will improve the delivery of services to citizens, data management, collaboration, and communication, enhance Cybersecurity, and endorse Transparency and Accountability. To handhold LSETF through this is Mitiget, a renowned information security company. Among other expectations, the vendor is to sort, scan, index, and categorize LSETF’s critical documents. The process involved a thorough assessment of the existing paper-based records, systematically categorizing them based on content and significance. In delivering the output of the project, Mitiget deployed advanced scanning technology to digitize the physical records, ensuring the integrity and quality of the digital copies. By adopting cutting-edge technology and best practices in document management, Mitiget ensured that every piece of information was securely digitized, organized, and archived to meet the highest industry standards.
The transition to a paperless operation within the Lagos CARES program is underpinned by a resolute commitment to harness cutting-edge technology and ensure that citizens and businesses in Lagos State benefit from streamlined, secure, and efficient services. With this, LSETF not only aligns itself with global best practices but also reaffirms its dedication to fostering economic growth and social development within Lagos State, promising a more accessible and secure platform for both its beneficiaries and stakeholders alike.
At the completion of the initial phase of the project, the LSETF Project Manager, Mrs. Jesudunsin Olusanya said “LSETF is glad to have embarked on this journey with Mitiget, whose team has shown expertise throughout the execution and expressed clearly that it is a professional information security company.” She also thanked the management of Mitiget for delivering the project way ahead of the due date.” In his response, the CEO of Mitiget expressed gratitude on behalf of the team to LSETF Board and management for entrusting the sensitive project into the company’s hands. “It is an honor that we cherish, and we have given it our all. We are looking forward to working professionally with the LSETF team in the next phase,” he concluded.
